CATL plans first sodium battery deliveries in September, targeting 1 GWh by year-end

The world's largest battery producer will ship its first sodium battery solutions in September 2026, with a target of 1 GWh in total shipments by year-end. Overseas deliveries are scheduled to begin June 2027. Energy storage, not passenger vehicles, is the primary near-term focus.
