Kite Pharma wins NMPA approval for world's first gastric cancer CAR-T drug
China's NMPA approved Suriqioleucel on June 22, 2026, making it the first CAR-T therapy cleared anywhere in the world for advanced end-stage gastric cancer. Priced at 990,000 RMB per dose, the drug more than doubled median survival in clinical trials, from 3.98 months to 9.17 months.
