Nvidia procurement team visited Ganzhou three times in 2025 to secure rare earth magnets

A single city in southern China supplies more than 70% of global medium and heavy rare earth output. Nvidia sent buyers there three times in 2025 as early humanoid robot component deliveries began, putting Ganzhou at the centre of a hardware dependency that few outside the industry had mapped.
