Qualcomm to pay Huawei for first time in 5G and AI patent deal
A cross-licensing agreement announced on 5 October 2026 makes Qualcomm a net payer to Huawei for the first time in their history. The deal covers more than 680 Huawei patents and will push Huawei's cumulative patent licensing revenue past $6.9 billion once regulatory clearance is obtained.
